General Description: San Antonio Hot Springs is a series of primitive rock walled and bottomed pools along a steep hill side in enchanted northern mountains of New Mexico. This free geothermal hot springs is about a half mile hike through the Santa Fe National Forest with spectacular views. Clothing is optional.
Location: From Albuquerque, New Mexico it is about 75 miles or and hour and 50 minutes to drive to the hot springs
Directions: From Albuquerque, New Mexico take I-25 N from Tijeras Ave NW and Dr Martin Luther King Jr Ave NE 5 min (1.3 mi) Follow I-25 N and US-550 N to NM-4 E in San Ysidro 40 min (40.6 mi) Continue on NM-4 E to your destination 1 h 6 min (35.0 mi)
Accessibility: San Antonio Hot Springs is hard to access. You need a 4X4 on the last 5 miles because of the conditions of the dirt road. You will see a sign that directs you to the hot springs. It is about a half mile moderate hike to the hot springs.

Hot Springs: San Antonio Hot Springs has a series of three primitive rock walled pools that cascade into each other. The source of the hot springs is 125 degrees. The first rock walled pool is about 105 degrees. The water cools as it cascades into the other pools. Temperatures change based on season and pool construction. This hot springs has magnificent views.

This hot springs is in a national forest. All regulations apply. There is no camping at the hot springs. This hot sprimgs gets alot of foot traffic. Nearest services is about 40 miles.
