Location: From San Luis Obispo, California it is 10 miles south along the 101 highway.
Directions: From San Luis Obispo go 10 miles south along the 101 highway and get off at Avila Drive. This is the first business on the right when you get off the freeway.
Accessibility: The accessibility is very easy. This resort is right off highway 101. The hot spring and pool are adjacent to the parking lot. The pool is handicap accessible.
Hot Springs: Avila Hot Springs has a 20x20 old fashioned therapeutic hot mineral pool that ranges from 110-103. The Hot Springs resort offers a 50x100 naturally heated swimming pool. The pool temperature averages 80-85 degrees depending on the season. This hot spring beach hideout boasts two waterslides for the kids and adults.
Hot Springs Tips: Avila Hot Springs has waterslides for the kids. There is changing rooms and showers for both men and women. There is camping and cabins onsite for overnight accommodations. There is food on site during the high season. This hot springs is not pet friendly. No RV camping at the resort. Avila is a beautiful city with a beautiful beach. Whale watching is a huge here. Ride a bike along the Bob Jones Bike Trail to the beach. Sycamore Hot Springs is right down the road. Children under 38 are not allowed in the hot springs. They have movie night in the hot springs on Saturday night.
