General Description: Pine Flats Hot Springs has an amazing natural geothermal waterfall that cascades into a rock walled pool. Along the Wildlife Canyon Scenic Byway on the the South Fork Payette River is a hot springs at the river's edge. This hot springs has a campground and is a popular family destination.
Location: From Lowman, Idaho it is 6 miles or 10 minutes,
Directions: Head northeast on ID-21 N toward River Front Rd 0.2 mi Turn left onto County Hwy 17

Accessibility: You can drive up to the hot springs parking lot on a paved road. There's a sign for the hot springs that mark the start of about a quarter mile hike. A 1/4-mile nature trail begins in the campground and leads to a natural hot springs soaking pool on the riverside. The hike down to hot springs waterfall and pool is steep and has loose rock. Shoes are recommended to get down there.
Hot Springs: Pine Flats Hot Springs has an amazing natural geothermal waterfall that cascades into a rock walled pool. There are three hot springs rock pools. The hottest pool is beneath a waterfall down a steep and narrow trail. There is a second pool that is riverside and is much cooler. The temperature depends on the season and high the river is. There is a third pool at the end of the main trail on the other side of the rock where the waterfall is. The temperature averages 99 degrees.
Hot Spring Tips: There are 24 campsites adjacent to this hot springs. The campground includes vault toilets, drinking water and trash collection. If you camp you need to make reservations. Deer and elk may be seen wandering through the campground on occasion. Bathing suits required. There are road closures in the winter. This hot springs gets alot of foot traffic. Fishing is good at the hot springs. There is a fee for day use. Open 24 hours and all year. This hot springs is pet friendly. Dogs need to be on a leash. No dogs in hot springs.
