General Description: Ponce de Leon Hot Springs is also known as Taos Pueblo Tribal Hot Springs is a free long abandoned hot spring resort located in the Carson National Forest, along the Miranda Canyon, in the North western corner of the enchanted state of New Mexico. The Ponce ruins still offer three primitive cement walled and gravel bottomed hot spring pools. This land does belong to the American tribe of the Pueblos. These indigenous people grant access to the this sacred place to the public. Please respect the customs of the native people. Clothing is optional.
Location: From Taos, New Mexico is 7 miles or about a half an hour to the hot springs.
Directions: From Taos, New Mexico take NM-68 S/Paseo Del Puebsso Sur Continue to follow NM-68 S Turn left onto State Rd 382 2.2 mi
slight left onto Miranda Canyon Rd 0.1 mi Turn right to stay on Miranda Canyon Rd 0.7 mi

Accessibility: Ponce de Leon Hot Springs is accessible. You can drive up to the parking area. It is a mile and half moderate hike to the hot springs.
Hot Springs: Ponce de Leon Hot Springs offers the remnants of an abandoned cemented hot spring pools. Ponce has three primitive cement walled and gravel bottomed pools. The temperatures of the hot spring pools range between 80- 95 degrees depending on the season. There is an adjacent hot springs pond that is exclusively for the Native American people.
Hot Spring Tips: Ponce de Leon Hot Springs belongs to the Puebo American Tribe. These hot springs are sacred land. Please respect all the customs of the native american people. This hot springs is free. Clothing is optional. Day use only. The posted rules are no soap and no pets in hot springs.
