General Description: Remington Hot springs is my favorite kind of hot spring. This place is like home for me. I helped build these hot spring tubs. This Hot Spring is rustic but well maintained by the locals. The hot springs are cemented tubs using all the local rocks to give it a natural environment. There are three tubs alongside the Kern River. The hot spring tubs are very unique with stone work. There are a total of five springs at Remington. The custom is clothing optional. No glass is allowed.
Location: 30 miles north of Bakersfield, Ca or 6 miles from Lake Isabella, Ca.
Directions: From The 99 freeway out of Bakersfield take highway 178 to Borrel Road. Park in a dirt lot and hike down to the hot springs. The springs are next to the Kern River.
Accessibility: The accessibility is good. These springs are located on a semi steep path that zag zags for about 300 feet path down at the bottom of the hill next to the Kern River.
Hot Springs: The hot springs are primitive natural developed. There are three pools in the main area that is next to the river that cascade into to each other . The first tub is where the source of the hot springs come out. It is about 106 degrees. The second tub is a bigger. The temperature measured 103 degrees. The last tub measured at 100 degrees.
Hot Springs Tips: This hot springs is clothing optional. This hot springs is free. This hot springs is pet friendly. Dogs need to be on a leash. No dogs in hot springs. No glass please.
