The resort underwent a major $14 million renovation and now features an astouding over 40 soaking opportunites with accomidations and food onsite. Durango is recognized as an accredited wildlife habitat.

Directions: To get to Durango Hot Springs from downtown, head north on Main Avenue (US-550 N) for approximately 8.5 miles as you travel into the scenic Animas Valley. After about 13 minutes, turn left onto Trimble Lane, then take an immediate right onto County Road 203. The entrance to the resort will be on your left at 6475 County Road 203, offering a straightforward and beautiful drive with views of the San Juan Mountains along the way.
Accessibility: Durango Hot Springs is designed with a heavy focus on accessibility, featuring a total of 12 to 13 ADA-accessible soaking pools spread across the property to ensure guests with mobility challenges can enjoy various temperatures. The Family-Friendly Area featuring the Dutch Creek (111°F), Jones Creek (109°F), Limbo Hot(108°F), Adrenaline Falls and La Plata (107°F), Alta Lakes Upper (105°F), Junction (104°F), Lemon (103°F), Vallecito (102°F), Mineral Shower (101°F), Alta Lakes Lower and Clock Tower (100°F), Lightner and Lost Lake (99°F), and the Reflexology and Trimble pools (98°F), along with the 87°F Family Pool and 56°F Limbo Cold plunge. In the Adults-Only Area, you can soak in Purgatory Hot (109°F), Emerald and Upper Cascade (108°F), Florida and Grizzly (107°F), Haviland and Hermosa (105°F), Piedra (104°F), Electra, Molas, and Sunlight (102°F), Lower Cascade (99°F), and Animas (98°F), or brave the 40°F Purgatory Cold plunge.
