General Description: Glenwood Hot Springs is world famous for having the largest hot springs pool in the world. Glenwood a family resort tradition is located along the Colorado River in the rugged Rocky Mountains, surrounded by the vast White River National Forest and Grand Mesa National Forest in Colorado. Glenwood boasts two hot spring pools. Accommodations and dining are available. Glenwood offers a full service spa.
Location: From Grand Junction, Colorado is 85 miles or about an hour and twenty minutes to drive to the hot springs.

Hot Springs: Glenwood Hot Springs boasts the largest hot springs pool in the world. Known as the Big Pool it is 405 feet long and 100 feet wide at the widest point. It contains 1,071,000 gallons of water, and is kept at about 90° F / 32° C and features a diving area and exercise lap lanes. The therapy pool also know as the Small Pool is 100 feet long and contains 91,000 gallons of water. It is kept at a temperature of about 104° F / 40° C. The source of Glenwood is known as the Yampah Spring. Native Americans called it "Yampah," which means Big Medicine. Yampah is located at the eastern end of the resort. It has a daily flow of 3,500,000 gallons of water, at approximately 122° F/ 51° C. The source for the Yampah spring is south of the Colorado River in the Lookout Mountain and Grand Hogback areas. The water percolates through fractures in the bedrock formation into the Leadville aquifer. The mineral water is treated by a million dollar, state-of-the-art ozone purification system, that is required by State Health Department. Clothing is required.
Hot Spring Tips: Glenwood Hot Springs is open year round. This hot springs resort offers day use for non guests. Guests with accommodations are given access to all the resort facilities including the hot springs pools. They provide coin operated lockers, private dressing rooms, and showers along with family changing rooms and ADA accessible rooms. Complimentary high-speed, wireless internet access is available in all of the lodge guest rooms. Glenwood is not pet friendly. Glenwood Hot Springs is a pet-free facility. No pets, including emotional support animals are allowed at the pool. Only service animals with their owners will be permitted. They offer complimentary shuttle service to the pool. They offer 107-room lodge for accommodations. They have dining at the resort. Glenwood has a full service spa as well as a full service fitness center.
