General Description: Harbin Hot Springs is one of the oldest hot springs in California. Harbin is hidden in the hills above the wine country north of the San Francisco Bay. The resort is recently reopened after the 2015 Valley Fire devasted the famous hot springs resort. Harbin is a local and old time favorite among the soakers. Harbin is hippie hot springs sanctuary. The Harbin trust known as Heart Consciousness Church has 12,000 acres of land throughout Lake County. This includes 1,700 acres of Harbin property. Harbin Hot Springs boasts 8 outdoor hot spring pools. Clothing is optional.

Accessibility: Harbin Hot Springs is accessible. You can drive up to the resort. Once at Harbin it is an easy walk around the property. Harbin is handicap accessible including a lift. It is fully ADA-compliant.
Hot Springs: Harbin Hot Springs boasts 8 different outdoor mineral spring pools to enjoy. This hippie hot springs offers a cold plunge. Three Silent Meditation Pools The first is the Warm Pool. People refer to Harbin’s “main pool” as this one It’s also where Watsu® was initially developed. Watsu is a form of aquatic bodywork used for deep relaxation and passive aquatic therapy. The water temperature here is ideal for enjoying long, meditative soaks without getting either too hot or too cold. Next is the Hot Pool. Harbin’s signature pool is its enclosed Hot Pool, under the peaked roof with manzanita-mullioned stained glass. You can enter this structure from the far end of the Warm Pool, or by walking around either side of that pool. The water in our Hot Pool is 110 - 115 degrees. The next hot spring pool is the Cold Plunge. This pool has very cold water, which comes directly from its spring and flows quickly through the pool without any treatment. The best therapy is alternating rounds of soaking between this Cold Plunge and our Hot Pool. In Harbin’s Mainside Pool Area you will find 5 mineral spring pools. Trellis Cold Plunge is a cold refreshing pool. The temperature of the pool ranges in the 60's. , Trellis Hot Plunge is a hot outdoor pool. The tempature is between 110 - 115 degrees. The third hot springs pool is the Heart Pool. The water approximates body temperature. Quiet talking and socializing are welcome. Supervised children are permitted from 10am-dusk. The Swimming Pool is Harbin’s largest pool. This is the place to swim laps or exercise, lounge about, socialize, and play underwater in the deep end. The water temperature here varies with the seasons, but is usually on the cooler side, appropriate for active enjoyment; during cold weather, we warm it slightly. The Health Services Pool is designed and built specifically to give the guests a more-private setting for their professional Watsus® and other aquatic bodywork sessions. Its body-temperature water is the ultimate medium for long, blissful treatments. All Harbin water is tested by independent agencies, and monitored for purity and safety. Our pool water is treated with a state-of-the-art hydrogen peroxide/ozone/ultraviolet light system that avoids the noxious amounts of chlorine that are mandated for most other commercial pools. The State of California requires us to treat our drinking water with appropriate amounts of chlorine; however, all Harbin drinking water also undergoes extensive post-treatment filtering, to make sure it’s odor-free and tastes delicious.
Hot Spring Tips: Harbin Hot Springs offers day use soaking along with overnight stay. Harbin has 175 campsites for tent camping. This hot springs is not pet friendly unless you have a service animal. The resort all sorts of massage services. Harbin is famous for Watsus therapy. They designed a pool to accommodate the customer with the best water therapy. Clothing is optional and nudity is common in Harbin’s pools and pool area. Harbin an array of activites that include hiking on their 1700 acre property.
