General Description: Baumgartner Campground is situated alongside the South Fork Boise River.
Location: From Boise, Idaho it is about 2 1/2 hour or 115 miles away.

Accessibility: Baumgartner Hot Springs is easy to access. You can drive up to the parking lot. There is a parking fee. From the parking area it is a quick 0.2 mile easy walk. The pool has handicap accessibility.

Hot Springs: Baumgartner Campground Hot Springs is 101-104 degrees water that is piped into a large concrete soaking pool. The temperature depends on the season. The pool is 15- by 20-foot concrete pool and is open during daylight hours and is drained, cleaned and refilled daily. It is is maintained by the Forest Service. The pool is furnished with decking and benches.
Hot Spring Tips: South Fork Boise River provides great fishing. No nude bathing. Swimsuits are required. Children must have adult supervision. John Baumgartner Gravesite is a short walk from the hot springs. A 1/4-mile interpretive nature trail begins at the hot springs and meanders up the hill through the forest. The campground offers single and double-family sites. Alcohol, glass, soap and shampoo are prohibited in the pool area. Open daily from dawn to dusk, May through September. This hot springs is pet friendly. Dogs need to be on a leash. No dogs in hot springs.
