General Description: Elkhorn Hot Springs is a rustic geothermal getaway located in the Beaverhead Deerlodge National Forest of the Big Sky state of Montana. Elkhorn's pride and joy is their two outdoor hot springs pools with gorgeous views and the indoor sauna hot springs tub. The resort lodge and cabin accommodations as well a restaurant and bar. Clothing is not optional.
Location: From Butte, Montana is about 100 miles or a two hour drive to the hot springs.
Directions: From Butte, Montana take I-15 S/I-90 W from Montana St 4 min (1.2 mi) Follow I-15 S to MT-278 W in Beaverhead County. Take exit 59 from I-15 S 57 min (66.5 mi) Follow MT-278 W and Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway to your destination 58 min (38.0 mi)
Accessibility: Elkhorn Hot Springs is accessible all year around. You can drive up to the hot springs. Check road conditions in the winter.
Hot Springs: Elkhorn Hot Springs boasts two all natural outdoor hot pool. The smaller pool is hotter temperature ranges from 92-102 degrees depending on the season. Elkhorn offers an indoor wet sauna. The temperature ranges from 104-106 degrees. The geothermal water has no chemical treatment.
Hot Spring Tips: Elkhorn Hot Springs offers day use for hot springs. Bathing suits are not optional. This resort is pet friendly. Towel service is available. No glass at the hot springs. There is skiing and snow mobiles trails available. Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All cabins come with hot buffet style breakfast every morning.
