General Description: Jerry Johnson Hot Springs is a primitive and popular natural hot springs located in the Clearwater National Forest in Central Idaho. This is a free hot springs along Warms Springs Creek that consists of three hot springs sources in a cedar forest. Clothing is optional.
Location: From Grangerville, Idaho it is 100 miles or about two hours.
Directions: From Grangerville, Idaho take ID-13 BUS E/Broadway Ave Continue to follow ID-13 BUS E 0.8 mi

Jerry Johnson Hot Springs is located at at MP 152 on Northwest Passage Scenic. You can drive up to the hot springs parking lot on paved road. Trailhead parking lot is called Warm Springs After parking, cross highway 12 and the pack bridge over the Lochsa River. This is an easy and fun hike. Take a right to follow Warm Springs Trail #49 south along the creek for about one mile.

Hot Springs: Jerry Johnson Hot Springs has three hot springs sources. Each pool has rock walls and sandy clear bottoms. The first hot springs source is as the waterfall pools along side of the river. The source is 115 degrees. The temperature of the pool depends on the size of the pool and the season. The second hot spring source has a few soaking pools along the river bank just past the waterfall pools. These pools vary in size and temperature. The third hot spring source is in a beautiful meadow with amazing mountain views. The hot spring is about 2-3 foot deep and averages 100-104 degrees.
Hot Spring Tips: This hot springs gets alot of foot traffic. It is very popular in the spring and summer. No overnight camping. Day use only. Clothing optional. Some pools are submerged during spring runoff. No camping at the hot springs. There is a campground 1 mile from the Warm Springs. This hot springs is pet friendly. Dogs need to be on a leash. No dogs in hot springs. Check road conditions in the winter. Day use only. There is a huge fine if you get caught after dark. Open all year. No pit toilet or restroom facilities. This hot springs are free. This hot springs is a family destination.
