General Description: Iron Mountain Hot Springs located along the Colorado River offers magnificent views Iron Mountain, Red Mountain, the Flat Tops and the twin peaks of majestic Mt. Sopris. Iron Mountain boasts 16 hot springs soaking pools that differing in size, shape and temperature. Iron Mountain Hot Springs offers day-evening use only there is no accommodation. Iron Mountain serves up a cafe for dining.
Location: From Grand Junction, Colorado is 85 miles or about an hour and twenty minutes to drive to the hot springs.
Directions: from Grand Junction, Colorado take I-70 E in Clifton 10 min (6.7 mi) Follow I-70 E to Midland Ave in Glenwood Springs. Take exit 114 from I-70 E 1 h 7 min (77.5 mi) Take Devereux Rd to your destination 5 min (2.0 mi)
Accessibility: Iron Mountain Hot Springs is accessible. You can drive up to the resort. It is an easy walk around the resort. The facility has handicap accessibility. A curving, gently sloped ramp into the family pool makes it accessible by wheelchair and by anyone who prefers to avoid stairs.
Hot Springs: Iron Mountain Hot Springs has several sources on the Iron Mountain Hot Springs property. The sources have been named Gamba, Hobo and CDOT, and are pushing 400 gallons per minute to our pools. The sources average temperature of the water from these springs ranges from 105 to 108 degrees. The hottest source is 120 degrees. Iron Mountain offers sixteen naturally shaped mineral hot springs pools, each heated to a different temperature ranging from 98 to 108. Sorry, children under 5 are not allowed in the small mineral pools and children 5 to 13 will need to be accompanied by their parents or other adults. Iron Mountain Hot Springs boasts a Family Hot Springs Pool and Whirlpool Hot Spa. The Family Hot Springs is approximately 70′ x 35’ with 100,000 gallons of chlorinated fresh water, heated to a comfortable 95 degrees by the geothermal exchange. A smaller, elevated hot springs pool, approximately 18′ x 8’, sits on the edge of the family pool with a perfect soaking temperature above 100. Parents are able to enjoy the hotter water while supervising their children below. The individual hot spring pool are filled with pure, hot, mineral water. They do not treat the water. Clothing is not optional.
Hot Spring Tips: Iron Mountain Hot Springs offers day-evening use only. This hot spring resort does not offer accommodations. Iron Mountain has a cafe that offers guests delicious options for lunch, dinner and snacks. Iron Mountian provides private showers, keyless lockers, hair dryers, suit dryers and lavatories. Iron Mountain Hot Springs invites 21+ guests to enjoy an adult beverage, but the privilege comes with responsibility. Please shower before entering the pools. Outside food, picnics and food deliveries are not allowed. No glass please. The gift shop at Iron Mountain Hot Springs is stocked with an inventory of pool-day necessities. Upon arrival, our front desk staff will ask you fill out a waiver. To save time, feel free to print and sign the waiver in advance. Iron Mountain is not pet friendly. They do not allow dogs on our property with the exception of service animals. Please do not leave your dog in the car. Clothing is not optional. Bring your bathing suit.
