General Description: Steamboat Hot Springs is a historical landmark hot springs named by Mark Twain. Steamboat is located north of Washoe Lake and along the Steamboat Creek in Reno, Nevada. This hot springs is day use only hot springs. Steamboat boasts 7 private geothermal tubs and an out door hot springs jacuzzi tub and hot spring shower. Steamboat provides spa services and is day use only.
Location: From Reno, Nevada is 15 miles or 20 minutes to drive to the hot springs.
Directions: From Reno, Nevada take I-80 E from N Center St 3 min (0.6 mi) Take I-580 S to US-395 ALT S/S Virginia St. Take exit 57B from I-580 S 11 min (11.3 mi) Continue on US-395 ALT S/S Virginia St to your destination 5 min (2.2 mi)
Accessibility: Steamboat Hot Springs is very accessible. You are able to drive up to the property. Once there it is a short easy walk around the landmark hot springs.
Hot Springs: Steamboat Hot Springs geothermal mineral water is pumped directly from the ground into the soaking tubs. Steamboat boasts 7 private geothermal tubs that you can rent hourly. They offer an outdoot hot springs jacuzzi tub and hot springs shower. The water in these hot springs contains: calcium carbonate, magnesium, sodium sulfate, sulfur, lithia, soda, and a high level of silica. Clothing is optional in the private rooms. Bathing suits are required in the outside hot springs.
Hot Spring Tips: Steamboat Hot Springs is day use only. They do not offer overnight accommodations. Steamboat provides spa treatments that include massages, sonatherapy healing, and cancer healing. This hot springs provides aromatherapy in the private tub rooms. They provide mud therapy for detox.
