General Description: On the edge of the Gila National Forest you will find the beautiful and primitive Faywood Hot Springs. The resort is a rustic natural geothermal hot springs in southwestern New Mexico. This is a naturalist hot springs day dream. This is a unique hot springs they offer both public and private pools. There are separate clothing-required and clothing-optional private and group bathing areas. Accommodations are available including cabins, camping with full RV hookup. The also are the only hot springs resort that offers clothing optional campgrounds.
Location: From Las Cruces, New Mexico it is 90 miles or about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Accessibility: Faywood Hot Springs is very accessible. You can drive up to the resort on paved road. Once you are there it is an easy walk around the property. This hot springs is handicap accessible.

Hot Springs: Faywood Hot Springs is unique it has two ways to soak Clothing Optional or Clothing Required. There is public and private pools available. The Private Pools are kept between 100F - 108F according to the season. The Private Hot Tubs can be controlled by the soaker. Each hot tub has a hot and cold water faucet and can be adjusted between about 70F - 120F. There are three pools in the Clothing-Required bathing area. The Lower Clothing-Required pool is usually about 100F. The middle pools is usually about 103F - 104F. The Upper Clothing-Required pool is usually between 107F - 110F. There are three soaking pools in the Clothing Optional bathing area. The Lower Clothing-Optional pool is usually about 100F. The Middle Clothing-Optional pool is usually between 103F - 104F. The Upper Clothing-Optional pool is usually between 107F - 110F. There are also a set of three soaking pools in the camping area that are reserved only for our over-night guests. The hottest one is usually between 107F - 110F. The medium hottest one is usually between 103F - 104F. There is also cool plunge which is usually about 20 degrees cooler.
Hot Spring Tips: There are tent sites for camping, pull through RV (recreational vehicle) sites with full hook ups, and private cabins for overnight lodging accommodations. Faywood Hot Springs is a one-of-a-kind southwest resort that houses a separate Clothing Optional campground for the naturist and nudist communities. Towels for rent. RV and Tent sites include access to all public bathing facilities. No chemicals are used in the natural mineral water. They are pet friendly.
