Kosk Hot Springs

General Description: This is wonderful natural free hot spring located in Madesi Territory, in the town of Big Bend, California. The two tubs are geothermal springs on the banks of Ahjumah (Pit River), between two Cascade Range volcanoes, Mt. Shasta and Lassen Peak.
Location: Along the Kosh Creek in Big Bend, California. This is on private property but owner lets enthusiasts use the hot springs free of charge. Please be respectful.
Directions: From Redding, California take Ca 299 and go 38 miles and turn right on Big Brend Road. Continue on Big Bend Raod for 18 miles.
Accessibility: Big Bend Road is not taken care of and has many poles. You hike on a dirt road for about an 1/8 of a mile down river to the hot springs.
Hot Springs: There are two hot springs that are about 101 degrees. There is also Hunt Hot Springs on the other side of the river bend which is a short hike that has 4 hot spring pools.
