General Description: Sacajawea Hot Springs is a free and all natural geothermal springs that seep out along the Payette River in Grandjean, Idaho. Sacajawea Hot Springs are rock walled and sandy bottomed hot springs that mix with the river. The geothermal pools depend on the spring runoff.
Location: From Stanley, Idaho is 40 miles or about 50 minutes to drive to the hot springs.
Directions: From Stanley, Idaho take ID-21 S/Eva Falls Ave Continue to follow ID-21 S 36.7 mi Turn left onto Grandjean Rd Destination will be on the right.
Accessibility: Sacajawea Hot Springs is accessible. You can drive up to the hot springs. The last 5 miles is on a dirt road. The hot springs are next to the Paytette River. This hot springs is not handicap accessible.
Hot Springs: Sacajawea Hot Springs are rock walled and sandy bottomed geothermal pools along the Payette River. The hot spring pools range from 96 - 102 degrees depending on the season and the arrangement of the rocks to contain the mineral water. The geothermal water is all 100% natural. Clothing is optional.
Hot Spring Tips: Sacajawea Hot Springs is day use only. The springs may be under water due to spring runoff. There is camping at Grandjean Campground. There is no camping at the hot springs. Sawtooth Lodge is a 10 minute walk from these natural hot springs for overnight accommodations. This hot springs are pet friendly. Leashes are required. Please no dogs in the hot springs.
